Reason 4 Why I Love Being A Mom: First Christmas
We just celebrated our first Christmas with our daughter. I cant tell you how blessed I feel to have my family home and safe! And wow do Christmases change when you have a child. Instead of wanting a ton of gifts all you want is your child happy, spoiled, and smiling.
Okay so we didnt start out that way with Miss Fussypants :oP
But after assembling her gifts and letting her play with them she was one happy camper!
Had to get one picture of her opening up a gift :o)
She got a wagon that we get to roll her around in. As you can tell the inital reaction I one of uncertainty, though could partially be due to the cold + wind. (stupid wind!)
She started getting into it though, especially when she was going fast!.
A new face! I love the crinkle nose but that's for another blog entry :o)

Reason 201 Why I Love Being A Mom: Helpful Gifts
I (we) are sooo grateful for all the gifts we receive. First time being a parent and we dont know what is useful and what we need. So I am lumping all the thanks I have to give in this one entry. I have yet to find one thing that we have received that hasn't been helpful! The overwhelming support we have received has been incredible and words cannot express how grateful and blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life. I try so hard to photograph her wearing all outfits and using the items we were given. So from the bottom of my heart thank you all so much!
Reason 93 Why I Love Being A Mom: Colorful Girl
She LOVES this rug and I'm so glad that she does because the color is just what we need. I love bright happy colors and the shag just makes her so happy (along with us but this is about her) :o) You should she how fast she crawls across it with a huge smile on her face! She's also back to the cloth diapers! yaiyee! And obviously found the drum sticks :oP
Reason 157 Why I Love Being A Mom: Business Girl
My little girl has been having fun playing with my computer (I have since learned to hide the keyboard and trackpad). As many times as I move her away she insists on going back to her important work that she has to do on the computer. It's just too precious in spite of the mess she creates on the computer :oP

Reason 52 Why I Love Being A Mom: Sink Baths
While I love the little bath tub I got Zoey, when traveling kitchen sinks turn out to be perfect! She's so adorable when I give her baths (along with all the other times)! :o)
Reason 70 Why I Love Being A Mom: First Waterfall
I really wanted to take my daughter to Anna Ruby Falls while we were in the area and found some time to go.
Zoey loved the sound of the ocean so much I thought she would enjoy the tranquility of the water falling.
Needless to say she was not quite in the mood for nature :oP She loved that sticker that you're supposed to wear for the park and that's all she was interested in.
She fell off a bed for the first time and scuffed up her nose. :o(
Reason 131 Why I Love Being A Mom: First (albiet short) Hike
On a very windy day we thought it'd be a brilliant idea to go for a hike where my hubby used to when he lived here before. We stopped about 100 yards from the parking lot though :oP I guess I'm not used to the elevation and the temp with the wind pretty much froze my poor little hands. We agreed to attempt on a warmer, calmer day but couldnt leave without taking a few pictures :o)
Reason 255 Why I Love Being A Mom: Taming the Wild West
We are fortunate enough to live near this 'town that's too tough to die' (or something like that). this first trip was to scout it out. I was a little hesitant to see any of the shows with the 'bangs' from the guns, maybe it's not that bad but I'm probably a little over cautious :oP It was also a cold, windy day but beautiful! The drive there was beautiful also! I really cant wait to explore more of the town!

Reason 60 Why I Love Being A Mom: Climbed Over Blockade
Zoey is smart. It wasnt too long ago she started standing up, now she's climbing. As part of our blockade to keep her in the living room we use(d) a toy truck that i thought was my siblings but came to discover it was my mom and aunts!
Needless to say being confined to the living room is not Z's cup of tea. She was getting frustrated and mom wasnt helping but taking pics.
Yep she was getting there!
Much to my chagrin she cleared it. Though i was happy at the same time cuz it means she's developing. I am loving this age! She's so interactive! She is just the most perfect thing and i couldnt be more blessed to be her mommie!

Reason 3 Why I Love Being A Mom: Surprise Standing
So Zoey really wants to bypass this crawling phase and hurry on up to the walking part of her development. She's been doing this, above, a lot so last night I finally was close to my camera and snapped this shot. Little did I know she was going to turn to her right and use the highchair to balance herself and stand up!
She figured out that spreading her legs helped her balance better :o) Or she heard her daddy teach this to his friend's boys in a jiu jitsu lesson. :o)
And to prove this was no fluke she did this again this morning trying to get her cute little baby hands on my keyboard :oP

Reason 291 Why I Love Being A Mom: Daddy Torture
Okay so I shouldnt say that I love Zoey torturing her daddy but it's pretty adorable her climbing up on him to check him out. And of course she had to play dentist: her daddy's least favorite appointment to go to :o)
Reason 231 Why I Love Being A Mom: Doorstopper
Zoey, in her crawling madness, has finally discovered a door-stopper. So cute to watch her play with it, break it, and see her reaction when she lets go :o) I love rediscovering the magic in everything as I watch her absorb her surroundings.
Boing!
