Reason 193 Why I Love Being A Mom: Swinging

Zoey just LOVES to swing! Oh my goodness do I get some amazing smiles and giggles from this little girl! These images are from June but I still get those giggles! We've even made a little progress on her using her legs to get herself going. When I was swinging next to her and trying to slow down by dragging my feet on the bark below she found it absolutely hilarious and could not still laughing. Oh I just love this child!

Reason 205 Why I Love Being A Mom: Sliding On Her Own

This was about two months ago (I'm so behind!) but after a long day her daddy took her out back and when I looked out the window a little while later I saw her sliding, running around to the stairs, climbing, and sliding some more. This was a never ending process but she was just loving it so much. I can't get her to stop when we do start <3 Cutest thing ever

Reason 44 Why I Love Being A Mom: Wearing Our Shoes

She just wants to do everything we do and wear everything we wear. One of her favorite things is going into our closet and pulling out shoes and putting them on. She proudly walks down the hall sporting heels, flats, boots, just anything she can find. And she looks awesome in every pair (o:

Reason 42 Why I Love Being A Mom: Princess Zelda

While on my sewing kick I decided I wanted to make Zoey a hat from The Legend of Zelda. Most of the games have ornate head-bands but my fav game, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, has this hat for the young Zelda. Oh perfect! Zoey hates wearing it but the few shots I got looked nice! Wrote a little letter to her and then changed the font to Hylian (the language in Zelda) and placed it on the image! <3

Reason 261 Why I Love Being A Mom: Toddler Boots

Oh my gosh, are boots on walking babies/toddlers not the cutest thing ever?!?! Now that it's coming fall I can find them! Seriously my fav fashion accessory for her :oP

Reason 76 (Part 2) Why I Love Being A Mom: Her Mommas Outfits

She's starting to fit into a few more of the outfits that my mom saved from my sister and my's childhood! I LOVED that purple leotard as a kid!

Reason 274 Why I Love Being A Mom: First Starbucks

A month ago I finally gave in and got Zoey her first Starbucks, a kid's short hot chocolate at kids temp. And it was love at first taste!

Reason 228 Why I Love Being A Mom: Matching Outfits

I'm at that phase where I just want to match all her outfits with mine! :oP Her Oma and Auntie Leslie found some mint pants for her (below) which is something I've been searching for for awhile! And (above) I made a dress for her similar to one I had!

Reason 191 Why I Love Being A Mom: Wearing Mommie and Daddy's Things

She went into my closet one day and came out with this shirt and tried putting it on. When we finally got it on her she was so happy! Another day she came out of the guest room with her daddy's straw hat from our honeymoon on her head! Ah adorableness!

Reason 94 & 97 Why I Love Being A Mom: Eating By Herself and Closing Her Eyes To Do Things

I finally gave into letting Zoey take control of the spoon as I lose control of the mess :oP She is getting better but still not understanding the tilting thing :oP And out of the blue she's started feeding herself with her eyes closed or while sitting on the ground she will pass me things with her eyes closed. I have no idea where it came from but it's the cutest thing!

Reason 158 Why I Love Being A Mom: Fishy Face

Yep, this (along with my gopher face that goes along with it) makes her smile and EXTRA kissy!

Reason 257 Why I Love Being A Mom: Run Away Game

For about a month now, since she's been about to walk faster/run, she has been playing the chase-me-until-you-catch-me game right before bed. Tooo precious really! I love that, regardless of how tired my hubs or I am <3

Reason 289 Why I Love Being A Mom: Stuffed Animal Attachment

Lately Zoey has been very fond on her stuffed animals; a complete 180 from a couple months ago where she's look at one and throw it on the ground and go elsewhere. Well now she can't sleep without one in her arms. It started with Kermie, then this polar bear her Aunt Jean and Uncle Terry got her, and her green monkey her Auntie Kate got her, and then the dolls she received on her last trip to Omaha (unfortunately I dont have pictures of all of these attachments to show you!). I just think it's so sweet and so nurturing of her!

I opened the bears arms and said 'big hug' and wrapped his paws around her neck and she strutted around like this for a while <3

Kermie is a regular at breakfast now :oP Along with her other friends; they all take turns. <3

Even when she demands to be picked up after she is in my arms she reaches towards an animal and says 'gah!' (her term for 'I want'). Sorry for the blur on this picture, these cameras aren't light :oP

Reason 24 Why I Love Being A Mom: Ring Ring Ring Ring Ring Ring Ring Banana Phone

Lately Zoey has been talking on everything (like this shovel for example) but her Aunt Joann sent her a banana phone that talks back! My favorite thing that it says is 'Lets tickle chase!' in a british accent <3 Needless to say this little thing causes a ton of 'tickle chases' hence giggles for me to enjoy!!

She's baffled that it talks back but intrigued and loves it.

Um, not how it's supposed to work...

Reason 188 Why I Love Being A Mom: Watching TV in Style

I really try to keep the tv off in the morning hours and most of the afternoon (except during Olympic time!!!) but one morning I thought it would be nice to put the muppet movie on while we had breakfast. She sat down like this but of course I had to put her in her high chair. After breakfast though she demanded her wings and sat back where she was. She just loves music and hears this soundtrack in the car so much that she is immediately drawn to it! And the picking out her accessories begins! <3

Reason 38 Why I Love Being A Mom: Backyard Playground

We were pretty lucky in Arizona having a park one block away. It's too hot here for me to walk her to the nearest park (maybe two miles away) so I was really grateful when Zoey's GiGi spent the money for boots on a little play place for Zoey! Seeing her love for sand at White Sands just made sense to get her a sandbox! And since she is climbing everywhere she got a little castle with a slide. Lucky little girl! You really can see the amount of joy on her face as she just lives to be outside soaking up the fresh air and sunshine! I just love when my little girl is happy and enjoying life, she truly is a ray of sunshine!

So silly!

Reason 178 Why I Love Being A Mom: Breakfast With My Toddler

You know I think this image could, by itself, explain why I love breakfast with her: pure cuteness/adorableness. But I took a few more images I'd like to share with you because just one image from me will not do :oP

I think one reason I love breakfast is because of the morning light shining in. <3

Not only do I get loads of kisses (no picture since I was just enjoying those) but I get fist-bumps!

Oh, eyelashes and pouty lips!

"Ugh, mom! I'm done! Free me!" :oP

Reason 105 Why I Love Being A Mom: First Hike!

I love nature; I love going out and discovering new things. So I was so happy when the hubby said yes to a little adventure to McKelligan Canyon with Zoey and I. I honestly just wanted to scout locations a little but after we got out of the car we just had to little some fun exercise (well fun on my side, since I didn't carry ze bebe!) :o)

See? She's already excited!

Saw a lizard!

She's a rockstar, there is no doubt about it. This really was a great climb! She's just about outgrown the bjorn so we will have to look into a backpack, especially since I want to visit Ruidoso, NM sometime! But I hope she grows to appreciate the adventures we take her on, because I sure as heck love looking at all the images my mom has of us and the places we've been! <3

Reason 36 Why I Love Being A Mom: Helping Clean

YouTube Video

Zoey is very much at the mimic age and it's been amazing. Shes started imitating words and doing very well with the sign language. She says drink and more (whih means eat to her :oP) and cat with her tiny little hands. And even if i do something one time very quick she picks it up! I wiped something off the floor the other day and all of a sudden she's 'wiping' the floor too!

This video was from a couple days ago and definitely not the first time she did it. I put the swiffer in a little corner and she managed to knock it down and drag/mop it all over the house! Needless to say she has been incredibly helpful durin this move and cannot think of a better age (so far) where it couldn't be more perfect to move! We are going to have so much fun here in El Paso and it starts next week when her Aunt Jen comes to town for a little trip to Carlsbad Caverns!!!!
